Description
Bonewax for Hemostasis
Bonewax is a sterile, absorbable bone hemostatic agent used to control bleeding from bone surfaces during surgical procedures. Composed of a mixture of beeswax and isopropyl palmitate, it provides a mechanical barrier that helps to seal off bleeding bone. Its pliable consistency allows for easy molding and application to irregular bone surfaces.
This product is essential in orthopedic, neurosurgical, and cardiothoracic procedures where effective bone hemostasis is critical to minimize blood loss and improve surgical visibility. It is designed for single-use application and is safely absorbed by the body over time.
